Three projects. One smart home experience. Learners build an infrared security alarm, a rain-sensing cottage and a wireless power transmitter, and discover the sensors, circuits and wireless energy that make a home safer, smarter and more connected.
Each one demonstrated by something you can set off yourself.
A sensor spots movement and sounds the alarm.
A sensor detects water and warns you.
Buzzers, LEDs and boards working together.
Power crossing a gap with nothing connecting it.
Finished sizes, materials and part counts for every build in the pack.
Do not put small parts in your mouth and patiently guide children to install them
Certified with CPC. Full printed warnings are supplied in the manual.
Batteries: 8 × AA in total across the three builds, not included. Each build has its own battery box, so all three can run at the same time.
Build the circuit, switch it on, and understand the science by watching it work.
Three separate builds, each with its own manual. The sensor builds connect with plug-in 3P Dupont wires, so there is no soldering at any point.
Trigger the infrared alarm. Drip water on the rain sensor. Light the lamp across the coil gap.
Slide the lamp further from the transmitter coil and watch it dim, then bring it back and watch it brighten. One variable, an immediate visible result.
Work your way up. All three projects are in the box, and each one you finish unlocks the know-how for the next, ending with the copper coils you wind yourself.

Verified reviews will appear on this page as soon as the first Balancing Robots are built at home and in classrooms. We don't carry ratings over from other kits in the range, and we don't publish anything that isn't from a verified buyer.
If you've built this one with your class, we'd like to hear how it went — what worked, what didn't, and what you'd change.
